There was 17 kids and 8 adults. We needed everyone of the adults.
We fed and petted all the animals, gathered eggs (I planted enough eggs in the hen house so everyone could get a few) had a snack and play time on hay bales, sat in a BIG tractor and planted pumpkins in peat pots to take home.

If anyone else is going to do this make sure you are really organized and have a structured plan. I set out all the feed and whatever equipment I would need for the animals next to their pens. I'm really glad I did this or it would have given the "harder to manage" kids time to get in trouble, with me running back and forth to the barn. Most of the kids had good attention spans, but then there were a few that just wanted to run wild from one thing to the next. The hardest part was getting all of their attention at the same time.
All in all it was really fun and I will definitly do it again.

That sounds like a blast. I would have loved to go on a fieldtrip to a farm as a kid! That was very nice of you to allow it!

I don't drink but after something like that, I'd probably take a nip of SOMEthing!! Yep, I remember doing stuff like that...I'm sure the kiddos will talk their parents ears off for the next few days! They'll remember it!
