We got our new wooden screen door put up finally this past week and I love how it looks and sounds. The old one was wood, but was so butt ugly that it really needed to go. The new one is so fun and pretty. I will have to take a picture.
I wonder if that cheeseburger bird IS a whipporwill. They DO make that sound!
I love the sounds quails and ring neck doves make too.

I like the sound of birds, too. Ever hear the sound of a little brown wren warble? It's beautiful...very much like a melody. A lot of high and low singing.

The only call I have ever heard a Whip-poor-will say is "Whip Poor Will!" They were named after their call. I wonder if they have another call the "cheese-burger" that they use for something different?
