I saw this in the paper. I told a friend ever older than I am---way older. and she said , 'so true so true' as she was getting ready to go on a cruise. In the dim and distant past when life's tempo wasn't so fast, Gramma used to rock and knit, crochet, tat and baby sit. When the kids were in a jam, they could always count on Gram. but today she's in the gym-exercising to keep slim. She's checking the web or surfing the net. Sending some E-mail or placing a bet. Nothing seems to stop or block her, Now that Gramma's off the rocker.
I know-Iknow---we still do all the other too. whew!!

Well, I can't wait to play with my grandkids. (they are coming tomorrow and staying for a two week visit) and while they are here Grammy and Grandpa are gonna renew their wedding vows. We were young parents and are young grandparents I guess but I want to run and play with them so they will remember that I did things with them besides sit and rock. I do love sewing and handwork though and maybe I will get the opportunity to teach them those things.

I clean for a woman who has a sign in her kitchen that says, "If I knew being a granma was this much fun....I'd a had em first!" I have a lot of fun with Brody and my other daughter is going to have a baby boy in July. We just love our boys! Susan |

My grandma used to run and play with me and my older brother. She'd fill up dishwashing liquid bottles and that was our squirt guns. When I was young she had a bad bout with diabetes. She had to have her toes cut off and was a blessing from God that she didn't lose her leg too. My brother and I are the only of her grandkids that remember her when she was "off her rocker", lol. She was a cool grandma for way back then I must say. Even after she got sick, she was still an awesome grandma. I miss her terribly and think of her often.
