I'm a soapmaker and have had my own business for going on 6 years. I make goat milk soap in 3 unscented varieties and 5 scented varieties. Lavender, Lemon, Lilac & Rose. some have oatmeal added.
Essential oils, also known as EO's, are the Natural Plant Extracts. They must be used by someone that knows the benefits and dangers. Some of these EO's are so highly priced that it's not feasible to use them for soapmaking. One such oil is a Rose Absolute. Beautiful in it's natural state, but at $3000 a pound it would be a waste to put it in soap.
Fragrance OilsThese are man-made synthetic oils that are tested to be skin safe. Fragrances are a wonderful way to get fragrances that don't exist in nature or are too pricey to use. Such oils would be something like Sandalwood, Rose, lilac, Vanilla or other fragrances such as a Juniper Breeze, Cotton Blossom of Bath & Body Fame.
If you have any other questions, fire away or contact me personally. I'm working on my website as we speak and my eyeballs could use a rest! LOL

There is a farmgirl here in Kentucky, Abigail that has her own soap made from honeybees. I highly recommend her products as they smell so good, clean your hands real well, and are KY made. Her website is www.abigailsoap.com She also has online ordering as well. |

would be willing to barter antique crocheted dollies for homemade bar soap, I am looking for plain noncolored soap, non scented, I have allergies to most scents and some flowers, I like both gylerine and lye soups. Almond is okay. But no peppermint or Lavender. |

I currently have a batch of pure Olive Oil soap that has no scents or dyes. I don't need more dollies or doylies however so we could trade for something else or you could contact me if you want to just purchase? |

Ahodge, I would love to barter for some handmade doilies. Currently, I have on hand: Just Plain Soap~ a basic no frills bar with no added colorant or scent. Just Plain Goatmilk~ a lovely bar with goat milk, and shea butter added. No scent or color. This is the best soap for sensitive skin, mild enough for use on babies too. Just Plain GoatmealTM~Goat milk and oatmeal are combined in a shea butter bar. no scent or color. Goatmeal with Aloe~ goat milk and Aloe vera juice added to a shea butter bar. again, no added scent or color. LMK if anything appeals to you. Or, if any other farm girls are interested I LOVE to barter! Karla Moore gadgetwoman@prairieinet.net
