Sorry, late to the ball. I learned something new......garlic powder (one blog stated that a big name boxstore that starts with the letter "C") is actually dehydrated garlic skins that are powdered in the blender. I do not throw out the garlic skins anymore and do just that! The powder if finer than dehydrated/powdered garlic cloves and the taste is slightly milder but I am loving the fact that I am not wasting anything. Am I the only one who did not know this?

Thanks Jeanette for letting us know, I did not know it. If Aldi ever runs out of peeled garlic in a bag I will try it.

I tried the dried lemon peel powder in my morning tea and it's milder than a slice of lemon but I enjoyed my tea and will make it again.

Drying pumpkin seeds to roast and roasting pumpkin for puree. Love the way it makes the house smell.

Denise-I am doing the same. I made Botswana Pumpkin Soup with the pumpkin this year and am freeze drying that into powder :0). Our family loves pumpkin seeds! I used avocado oil this time after soaking the seeds overnight in water and baking soda and WOW!! Crunchy and delicious. Have fun roasting, cooking and puréeing!
