Grace made me one as well, pot holder towel. Paw prints on the towel, it was a gift from Grace when we lost another dog. She is just too sweet!

Another towel,, this one I top stitched over the gourds just for fun.
The best part about customizing dish towels is they make great little gifts to have on hand.
A towel, wooden spoon and a muffin mix is always a sweet gift, or you can wrap the towel around a bottle of wine or champagne.
Better yet, wrap a homemade pie in a towel along with a pie cutter.
So many ideas..

And this is my quick go-to towel.
I buy pot holders and towels at the dollar store, gather, stitch, ad a button, a bit of trim and rickrack, and voila’

I forgot to mention, these towels hang on the bar on the oven door and the loop becomes the button hole..
I also added a bit of lace trim and ric rack.. great way to use up scraps of trim.

Maybe next week I’ll decorate a towel with… yo-yos!!!

Sorry for so many posts, on my cell phone and it’s a bit tricky for me! :>)

I need to crochet some more towel tops - I already have towels and yarn to use. I also have some towel boas to make out of the towels, some are cut - I just need to sew them.

This is a great theme for 2025.

Great towels, Grace! I’ve been wanting to sew on some but my mojo seems to have left me.

If any small towels work then, I might embellish some of those microfiber makeup removing cloths. add a trim to the edge or something like that. A lot of people I know use them.

Or maybe I'll make a kitchen towel or napkin set for my Lord of the Rings day this year.

MaverinDei,, I haven't tried using the microfiber type towels,, but now you have me curious to try...

Also, the super large flour cloth type towels, can be cut in half length wise, 2 towels out of one,,
then embroider them or like Quiltie does, make the 'towel boas' to hang the flour sack towels from.

Another idea, a No-Sew,,, project,, use those 'heat-set' crayons,, you can "color' a design using the crayons, then cover with a sheet
of paper, and 'set' buy using the heat from the iron... or using permanent stamping ink to stamp-print cute designs on cotton towels.

OK Ladies.. 'Tag" you are it! show us what you have created...

this is a cute towel that hangs around your neck .. made for me by Quiltee,

Ok, I had some time to kill today, so while the laundry was washing I did some stitching…
I had a large flour sack/towel.. ‘sew’ I cut it in half, hemmed the edges and then proceeded to get creative.
On one of the towels I machine embroidered a little kitchen design and on the other I attached an old hanky that I had machine embroidered over a worn spot.
Tada!!

Sorry the photo is the greatest, but you get the idea..
