For us who are so done with the summer heat you will get it when I say, "My front porch is now officially decorated for fall".

I started a couple of weeks ago by changing out a few things. This morning, I was looking at my summer windsock and I thought I'm so tired of the bright colors of summer so that started the complete change over on my front porch to the cool colors of fall. Now when I look out my living room window and see my windsock blowing in the breeze, I see fall colors and I find that very restful.

I am ready. The hot temps that are here and starting this week wipe me out! I'm ready for cooler days.

I thought about changing out summer decor for Fall and have been debating with myself .. do I wait until September? Maybe, if I put out some Fall things the 100 degree temps here in Texas will scurry out of here! Probably not .. forecast this week is 98 102 105 105 102

No fall decor here yet. I know it's bad when I consider 97 to be a cool day. I'll wait until September.

I am still not ready for my fall decorations yet. Even though we have been in the high 90's, I am still not ready to let go of Summer. But I can totally understand why those of you in Texas and those having temps in the 100's are ready for Fall. I hope it cools down for you all soon.

I'm so tired of this heat here in Texas. but that is how it is here. I usually start decorating for Fall the first weekend in September.

Sara, I am getting my fall things out too. I am so sick and tired of endless heat and humidity every day. And mosquitoes zooming after me every time I go out the door!! I agree with you too that seeing my fall things coming out, just makes me feel calm and happy. Count me in the group that is moving on to Fall!!!

I've been thinking the same thing, Sara. I cleaned and swept my front porch this week and got rid of the soot and ash from the field burning and cobwebs. It needs some decoration so I'm thinking of what I can put up that says late summer, early fall.

I'm definitely ready for Fall temperatures, but not quite ready to decorate for Fall.

I really have only a small front entrance area, and the small patio next to that. We get such strong winds that come up unexpectedly that if I put anything on the table outside it ends up in our yard or the yard next door if the winds crop up. Not fun chasing it down. LOL!

Debbie, sunflowers fake or real say late summer - fall to me. I have a sunflower wreath on my front door. If you aren't into total fall decor on your front porch start by changing out summer ribbons or other fabrics for fall colors. I have 1 1/2' metal green rooster on my front porch that gets a change of necktie for each season. His tie now is fall colors with pumpkins.

I saw the most beautiful sunflower flag yesterday. I'm going to see if I can find something similar. If so I'll share a link here. I'm with you Sara, they say late summer/fall to me as well.

My porch is small and holds pots of succulents. The most decorating I do is change table toppers and change the fake flowers in an old blue canning jar.
