I have a very stinky futon mattress that has been in storage for a few years.
Any suggestions to get rid of the stink?
I was hoping to use it in my camper.
Thanks

Tina, I totally agree with that. I once rescued a thrift shop loveseat from imbedded cigarette odor by putting the whole thing in a giant plastic bag, like the kind they sell for artificial Christmas tree storage, with a goodly supply of charcoal briquets (the kind not treated with starter fluid, just plain. Worked like a charm, though it did take about a week, I think.

if you have a way to enclose it in a plastic bag, put a couple of bowels of fishtank filter charcoal in with it and it will pull out the odors, it may take several days and changes of the charcoal to do this, or you can smother it in baking soda and let sit for 2-3 days and vacum it off, or brush it off...
