I don't know about you guys, but our leaves are never ending... even in the summer (figure that one out LOL) Well, they have one of those rakes out on the market that are like two rakes in one, well, they work... believe it or not, they don't get all plugged up with leaves when you're raking.... and another thing that might sound stupid, but works, I take a huge tarp, and wrake the leaves on the tarp, take two corners and drag it to the burn pile.... it beats bending over to pick leaves up and put into a wheelbarrow... just a thought

Wonderful simple solution to ease the backbreaking work of cleaning up. I use mine as mulch also or it goes onto the compost pile.

When I cleaned out my hay barn recently (it is an ancient grainery building with a wood floor attached to the back of our big old garage..there is a cellar under it!!) I raked and swept all the loose bits of hay onto a big tarp like that..easier for me to pull it over to the pile that will be mulch in the garden. Alot easier than the way I usually do it...wheelbarrows full at a time and dust and hay bits flying everywhere!! It is always nice to find a simple solution like that!!!

My husband helped me haul home 30 lawn bag sized bags of leaves two weekends ago. I bet the people who did all the raking would have appreciated this idea. I'll use them to make compost.
