So who has a great way to remove the sticky from glass jars when you remove the label? I'm trying to reuse these jars, but can't get the sticky glue off and don't want to leave the labels on.

Any help appreciated
thanks,
Laurie

I make a paste with Bar Keepers Friend, let it set about five minutes, and rub it off. Works for me.
I also use alcohol.

I tried the alcohol and took quite a long soak and some serious scrubbing, but it did come off. Will have to try the other methods.

I coat them with olive oil, let set a few minutes. Wipes off.

I used to use lighter fluid back when I was a smoker. Now I use some stuff called "goo-gone". Most of the time I try to peel off what I can then soak it in water. There are some lables thought that won't come off without an atomic weapon!

I rub some coconut oil, leave it sit for a few minutes, then add some baking soda & scrub it right off. Takes little effort & I generally have it on hand.
