For the very first time, I had an energy saver bulb burn out (you know, those twirly kinds that take a fraction of the energy for powerful wattage). It's been in use for almost 8 1/2 years now (we put it in when we moved into this house), so I can't complain, but I don't know how to dispose of it. I know you aren't supposed to toss them with regular garbage because they have trace mercury inside them, but I have no clue what you ARE supposed to safely do.
Does anyone know? Thanks.
