Well, some of you remember last fall we had some excitement on My Tiny Farm with the scarecrow takeover. But I have good news to share-- the scarecrow was last seen snoozing away in the fall box amid the pumpkins dreaming of all the fun they had at the all night jam held here!

Most of you have seen my posts about the how I hate the Florida heat but there is one great feature of the Florida Winter that I must share.

Outside in my front yard you will find this:

My Satsuma orange tree. And in the backyard, you will find this:

My Kumkwat tree. Both producing this beautiful harvest!

Next was to gather essential ingredients and equipment.

Producing THIS!!! Yummy Satsuma orange Kumkwat marmalade!!

Life is good on My Tiny Farm! I can hear the "pop" of the lids sealing in the kitchen as I write this post. Will you join me for an english muffin, tea, and marmalade??

Thanks for stopping by!

having lived in santa barbara calif i remember the taste of oranges ripe. oh yum i could eat them all day. so different than store bought. happy days for you i thought marmalade was made from the skin. it looks like the fruit. so was it a ball or kerr recipe. i am interested in doing this NOW. i have tons of store bought oranges. i too would love the recipe. it looks beautiful thanks sherrye

That sounds heavenly. I don't think I could handle that Florida heat either, but fresh citrus sure is a tempting compensation!

I have to admit I'm jealous. I would give anything to see beautiful fruit trees in my yard right now. Getting tired of seeing snow, ready for spring already! : )

OH that looks yummy. A few years ago I was given some kunkwats and I made maralade.

Marly- I just followed the recipe for orange marmalade included in the jam instructions with the box of pectin. Instead of all of the oranges, I substituted what I thought would be the equivalent with the kumkwats. But you can just use your satsumas. Very easy and an easy way to prolong the enjoyment of the oranges into the year and summer!!
Gppd Luck!

I would love the recipe for the satsuma marmalade...... If you share, that is. I have two huge satsuma trees. We had so much fruit. I have given so much away. I'd love to be able to
make something with the fruit. Thanks for sharing.

I love the sounds of jars pinging!!! Looks like a beautiful bounty! My sister and I helped each other do strawberry honey jam a while back, and it was WONDERFUL!!!

Don't go with the flow...you are the flow.

I get up every morning determined to both change the world and have one hell of a good time. Sometimes this makes planning my day difficult.
