Posted - Jun 11 2011 : 09:21:32 AM I have only received a few letters back, in regards to manufacturers using compostable packaging. They are generic and pretty much say the same bologna. So, I signed up to volunteer to collect plastic bags from shredded cheese, and turn them in to a company you all probably know about (Terracycle).
If you don't mind the cost of shipping, I would love to take your plastic bags, and add them to the box I am shipping in. I need about 500 to ship one box, and our local elementary school receives the cash back directly. If you'd like to help keep the landfills free of such plastic, and help our school, please send me a msg in my inbox. Thanks.

Posted - Jun 11 2011 : 09:50:26 AM I'm not sure exactly what they make, but the re-purpose them into useful items. We save capri-sun pouches that they make into tote bags etc. Another Mom sends those in.
Here is the link to all the products made from recycled plastics etc. http://www.terracycle.net/products.html?locale=en-US
