Can you use homemade laundry detergent for you delicates? If so how much?

I do-and just run it on a delicate cycle if your washer has one. I use 1/16th of a cup for a small load, and 1/8th for a regular load (I make the powdered stuff). I'm sure you could use it to hand wash as well.
