I think flylady is too overwhelming to register for e-mails, but I bookmarked the site today to get a plan for myself.

We have all of the Christmas decorations put away, but the kids have clothes they have outgrown and now replaced thanks to my extended family. I think we will remove those clothes and donate them next week.

We'll see how the year progresses.

Moving on into another room next week. We donated quite a bit to Goodwill, the school's clothing closet, the library and friends and family. Lots to clean up yet. I'm already planning on taking all of my leftover yarn (scraps) and making scarves to donate in the future - "waste nothing"

Trying to get cleaning and organizing a priority!! Have downsized from a rural house to a city apt which my daughter and I share. I am making my bedroom completely my space with all prairie, farm, and cowboy, things I love!!! Today, behind the door, I hung an old cup rack that was a beloved Aunt's at one time. I have hung a couple felt cowboy hats and a prairie nitegown, that I purchased awhile back at an antique store, that I just love. It looks really cute and soooo me!!! Giving me the incentive I needed to get going!! Have a great day everyone!!

Blessings,
Linda

Cleaning and purging. This house is getting a real cleaning because we just bought a new couch. We started a week ago and when they brought it in everything was clean around it! I've got material to make a new wall-hanging and pillow to match. Got rid of unnecessary stuff. Now to get the rest of the house. Unfortunately I've got a a bad cold so dusting makes it worse. Guess I'll just have to sit down and read MJF magazine for awhile. (lol)

I clean very slowly, I have the entrance lined with bags to the goodwill and bags to the garbage and I can fill the burn barrel basket to the brim in two hours. Don't forget the random items set aside for RAOK List. As for my fridge, I have a ton of 21 and over products that one of my friends is gladly accepting as a donation, that will clear out tons of space!

Anyone want to do my kitchen floor? I've been a bit neglectful. You ladies are amazing.

I cleaned out the refrigerator not too long ago. It was WAAAAY overdue. I cleaned a bunch of other stuff in the kitchen and my hands ached and went numb at night. But the fridge sure looks nice! I can see everything that I don't have in it.

Go Kristina. That's great. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that in winter we are inside more and you see everything that needs cleaning. Summer is so busy and gets away from us. It does me anyways. It's a great time to de-clutter. I've been getting little projects done which is great. It is also a great way to stay warm in the cold. We've had some wicked temps and cleaning gets the blood moving. Course I like to bake too to add extra warmth.

I was pretty successful in one day. The kids helped me go through movies (which are in my living room)and we donated 3 bags of movies and books to the library. I have 2 book shelves and still have more to go through. I'm not done, but have a very good start.

I always focus on cleaning and organizing at the beginning of the year. I think it really helps me transition from the bustle of holiday prep, to having a more relaxed and focused life in the new year. Everything seems to go better with a little new year's cleaning and organization. Also, by doing lots of "spring cleaning" during the winter months, I don't feel so guilty when the nice spring weather makes me want to go outside and play, instead of deep-cleaning the house.

Well, I'm starting my cleaning this morning. I have to visit the library and buy stamps for thank you notes too. Our library closed for the last week due to the cut backs they have experienced. Anyway, LET THE CLEANING BEGIN! WOO HOO!

I have the next two days off from work and plan to get some cleaning/de-cluttering done. I took my Christmas tree to the park today and will wait till tomorrow when the light is better to vacuum the living room carpet. Really didn't have a problem with needles. I have some old baskets I need to get rid of, too, I like baskets, but really don't need these. Maybe I should put them up for barter? I have some books as well. Hmm, need to think about it.

I have the cleaning urge too Kristina - can't wait for tomorrow when I have the day off work but everyone else in the house has work or school - gonna do some cleaning!! I've been working on decluttering all year and slowly but surely it's paying off.
