I've heard lye is not easy to purchase , but I would really love to learn the art of soap making.
Thanks in advance!

Yup, I found mine at Ace too. They have it in the drain cleaner section. I just asked.

Lehman's has it and all the other soap making supplies.

If you have local Ace Hardware look there. I have purchased at Lowe's as well, but Ace was cheaper. Good luck.

I bought mine at a small family owned hardware store. I tried Ace hardware first and they said they used to keep it in the back and people had to ask for it but now they just don't carry it. So ask if you don't see it.

Karla- you have to be careful with the stuff you buy in hardware stores and make sure it is pure lye. If it looks greyish or pinkish when it comes out then it is not safe for soap.
