Okay so I always feel more motivated when I list out the things I have gotten done...

So far I have
Folded and put away 2 loads of laundry
Washed and am drying 2 more loads
Cleaned the shower/tub
Cleaned the toilet
picked up some garbage around the house (How does it not get thrown in the garbage in the first place?!)
Finished taking down the wood jumble in the back yard
raked up leaves and debris from where the wood jumble had been
Stacked the wood neatly alongside the garage :D Now to get a firepit for the back yard!
Folded another load of laundry
got another load washing.
Fed Nora breakfast and a snack
Two more loads of laundry washed and dried and folded
Another round in each of the machines.
picked up a bit in the living room.
packed clean blankets away in the banket box (I only need 3 more of them!)
More laundry
Took the garbage out
Got Nora and I lunch
Put some of the laudry away
picked up the living room more.
Got the living room vacuumed
Cleaned the fish tank and relocated him to the living room

Planning on tackling the living room and kitchen while Nora takes a nap.

So what have you done so far today? I'll be updating my list as the day goes by

Here's what I've done today:

Got up at 5:30 to meet a friend for a walk from 6:15 to 7. (We've been doing this for the past couple of weeks. Nice to get outdoors before the heat starts.)
Came home and fell asleep on the couch ;)
Drove out to the suburbs to get a haircut at 11:30.
Took a bag of books to a used bookstore I just heard about near my haircut place. The guy took about half of my books (yay!) and I used the credit to buy about the same amount of new ones (um...yay?)
Picked up some stuff at the grocery store and drove home.
Broke down packing boxes that some large stuff arrived in yesterday. Packed up the bubble wrap to reuse.
Did a sink full of dishes and a load of laundry.
Made dinner.
After dinner, took the cat out for a walk in the yard and weeded the garden while he lounged under the car.
Next up: band practice, and hopefully early to bed.

Hey, listing it really does make it seem like I accomplished something!

I'll brag about the outside chores I've done, but the house chores are so boring I hate to even mention them. I do remember changing the linen on all the beds.

I'm glad you put this on here! I was just sitting down for a few minutes thinking "Man, it's nearly 1 and I haven't gotten anything finished yet!" Then I started thinking for a minute:

Got up at 4:30
Walked Jake and Scruffy (our two black lab puppies --16 months old and still growing!
Did a load of laundry
Folded another load
Emptied the dishwasher
cleaned the k counter (still haven't figured out where the fruit flies are coming from)
Cleaned the dog kennel (affectionately known as the "play pen" here)
Cleaned two cars and a truck
Did lesson plans for the first week of school
Fixed breakfast
Got my nephew and hubby off to do nephew's welding project for fair next weekend
Played cooking with a friend of mine's 9 year old girl Mellie, who is staying with us for a week or two
Took Mellie garage saling
Ended up at Toy Story 3 with Mellie at a $2 special matinee showing for Crazy Days in our town today
Stopped by the gift shop for the bargains
Stopped by the hardware store - found a coleman stove for $20!!!!
Came home, fixed lunch for Mellie and me
Sat down at the computer for my 20 minute break~

Gee, maybe I have done something today!

This afternoon:
HAVE TO PULL WEEDS!!!! Especially around the pond! Yikes!
Finish laundry.
Walk puppies
Help Mellie sew a beach towel carrier for each of her brothers
Figure out what to have for supper since nephew unexpectedly came
Need to sweep floors and mop!
Must cut out some simple jackets to sew into time for school - have lost weight so none of my summer/fall jackets fit well anymore

OK that's enough!

Got the chickens and dogs up and fed
ironed a few shirts for hubby
packed lunches
put away clothes I folded last night
filled out paper work so my son can register for school today
started a load of laundry
wrote a few checks
organized coupons and made a shopping list
heading to work for a few hours
And it is early yet! Cannot wait to see what the rest od the day will bring!

Forget buns of steel, I'd rather have buns of cinnamon!

I gave up and went to bed as soon as I could get martha to sleep. Hubby came hame and made dinner and got the girls to do the dishes and a little pickin up. I've been up since 9 pm, so my night was free to work.
Here's my list for tonight.
Laundry is almost all washed (I'll hang it out when I can see out there)
Kitchen is picked up
Counters are cleaned
Living room is throughly picked up
Fair entries are shined and labled
Canning things are set up and ready for the pickles
Pen pal letters are ready for the post office
Harvest buckets are by the door
Birthday invites are done
Checkbook is straightened out
Went to the post office
I DROPPED OFF MY FAIR ENTRIES!

The rest of the day will probably be a bust. I'm so nervous. I won't know how I did in the fair till 7:30. I figure if I make it through the rest of this day with any fingernails left I'll be doin good. LOL!

Well, I'm tryin to salvage my day, or what's left of it. I got a call and my mom is on the way to the hospital. I will be goin to check on her when my DH gets home. I had to go help her get bathed and dressed so dad could take her in. I got my stuff from the store and came home. I can't seem to get Mart to nap and she keeps tellin me she's the baby and wants rocked. Then top it off with my nerves makin me feel ill. I am ready to go to bed and try agian tomorrow. I can't do that! I have the fair contest sign in tomorrow! I have to finish my stuff for my entries. I can't wait for DH to get home and help.

Went for a run early this morning.
Went to the commissary. Took longer t an I thought it would since they are remodeling and I can't find anything.
Talked with our new neighbor. She seems really nice. The kids like to play together, so that's a plus.
Fed little one and husband lunch.
Weeded flower beds.
Worked on a shawl I am knitting.
Scrubbed the kitchen and bathrooms down.
Vacuumed upstairs and downstairs.
Getting guest rooms ready. Mom and sister will be here tonight. Yay!

Boy, when you right it down, it sure seems like a lot!

I balanced the checkbook and filled in my spendin and budget pages.
Now I'm waitin for the baby to get done playin in the bath then it's off to the store.

Well, so far (8:30 a.m) I have fed 2 cows, 2 sheep, 5 rabbits, a couple dozen hens and a rooster, 3 dogs and 3 cats, done a load of laundry, made my bed, made breakfast for just 2 daycare kids (my own kids are gone to camp this week and most of my daycare kids arn't here quite yet) set up for my daycare day, watered the front porch plants and window boxes, made sure all the child proof locks and latches were ready for my daycare day, filled sippy cups and prepped breakfast, snacks and lunch for daycare and got my "going outside basket" ready with water, cups and snacks, changed the helper chart, dusted living room, watered indoor plants and wrote in my journal. I love the quiet part of my morning..won't be quiet much longer. I hope I remember to update this later but I bet I won't. haha. I have 8 daycare kids today and then tonight is cubscout pinewood derby ( I am a leader for bears...9 year old boys) so a busy day. We will be having simple salads for supper I am betting since it will just be STeve and I. My girls get home from camp at about noon tomorrow and the boys will be home Saturday late afternoon. I sure miss them.
