My new faux-leather/vinyl white wallet got a smudge of blue ink on it and nothing seems to be working to remove the stain. Any tips on how to get it out?

If you used a newer brand of hairspray it won't work. Most modern formulas don't have alcohol in them. Aquanet had a lot of alcohol. That is what does it. I just read something about this a couple of days ago. Oh, and yes, they still sell Aquanet.

I am not sure...my mom used Aqua net all the time when I was a kid. I would have to borrow hairspray from my 15 year old daughter at this point in my life.

The cheap stuff works as well as the nicer kind!

Oh that's funny Jenny! I don't remember the last time there was any hairspray in the house, guess it's time to buy some:)

ONe time a friend of mine had borrowed her mother in law's fancy car...took her 6 kids at the time in it (she went on to have 8) and one of them got a ball point pen and drew all over the seats. She was sobbing and asked me what I would do...she drove the car over and we got all the marks off the car seats with hairspray and a paper towel..amazing how well it works. Her mom in law never knew...heehheee!

So glad to find this thread - I have managed to write on the inside of my new (high-budget, for me) vegan - probably vinyl- purse and couldn't figure out what to do. I won't be buying a new one any time soon so I've just been trying not to open it very wide when I'm trying to make a good impression (it sort of looks like a two year old got ahold of it:))

I use baby wipes, or 'dipey wipes' as we call them, to get ink, grease, crayon, whatever, off our floors and walls. Hazards of a toddler in the house and usin what we got I guess.

Rubbing alcohol! Just a little on a kleenex and wipe gently.
