My husband likes to use Borax hand cleaner after working on greasy parts, etc. Lately, we have not been able to find it. Would the Borax you find in the laundry detergent area work as well? I was thinking I could just put some of it in a shaker bottle for him in the bathroom.

THis is the website I found it on. Look on the left side for the cheaper single size. I did a search and it said that the borax for laundry is not the same thing. It did not recommend using it. FYI

Katherine,

I made a mixture of baking soda and Borax (the kind you find in the laundry soap aisle) to use as a cleaner. My husband loves using it when he works on the truck, etc. I used equal amounts of the baking soda and borax and added a few drops of grapefruit essential oil. I too put it in a shaker bottle for my honey :)

Hope this helps :)

I'd do a search for it first and check the ingredients of both to see if they are the same or not before you do that. I never heard of borax hand cleaner til now. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to go look for it online myself. Have you done that yet?
