Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone has a solution for removing
what appears to be indigo dye from jeans that have
stained a white cotton sweater. I washed a white
sweater with blue jeans and hence the stains.

Any suggestions?

Once you try to remove it, if there is still a light stain then try hanging it in the sun. It worked for a number of light stains on white clothes for my family.

I usually have good luck on whites with Oxyclean (peroxide, I believe). Just need to leave it on awhile. Never had a problem FROM the oxyclean, which is more than I can say for some things. Good luck.

Hi Jody
I use a product called CARBONA Color Run Remover -little pink box--usually with the RIT Dye products in the detergent section of larger supermarkets. There are products by RIT also...I just have experience with the Carbona product...

CAUTION!!!---don't breathe the fumes!!!
Hope this helps,

Thanks for the website. I will give some of these ideas a try.

Jody- I Googled "removing stains" and got quite a few links. This one looked informative. You also may want to try the dye grabber sheets that are sold at grocery stores and the like.

Good luck!
