Anyone know how to get coffee stains out of a coral colored shirt? I think, actually, it was cappucino that I spilled on it, and I washed it within about 4 hours, but now it turned a purple-y black color! It was supposed to come out! I didn't have anything to pretreat it with, but I didn't dry it in the dryer (just hung it up), so it won't "set"......Help!!

The stain/laundry book I have has a couple of suggestions: If it was plain coffee with sugar/sweetener, flush stain with cool water. Rub stain with detergent and launder with bleach that is safe for fabric. IF the coffee had cream only in it, sponge stain with a dry-cleaning solvent (ick). Air dry. Rub with detergent, then launder in hottest water safe for that fabric with bleach that is safe for that fabric. Pretreat or soak older stains with an enzyme product, then launder.

Well...that about does it for the information that I have....Good luck!

XOXO, Libbie
