Where do you buy clothespins? I haven't a clue and I hate shopping so I only ever go to about 3 stores, none of which have them.
Thank you!!

Hello Everyone, speaking of wooden clothes pins, does anyone happen remember which magazine, or article, that mentioned how to clean wooden clothes pins once they get that "old gray" look to them and they start to leave little marks on the clothes? Or if not, does anyone have any suggestions? Blessings and Thanks ahead of time, Dawnia (cresson pa)

PS:
As to where to get clothespins, , I found two bags of the old fashioned kind at a flea market that came with a cute little aproned dress clothespin bag. I have also been lucky at second hand stores and Goodwill. Just a thought.

As to which are better, I have both the old fashioned kind and the "new fangled" kind (it's a good thing I have a double sided laundry apron because the newer version of the spring loaded ones tend to end up in the "fix it" side).

I got mine at Walmart. I have plastic ones . . . HATE 'EM!!!! They break something awful. At the time that was all I could get.

I've been able to get wooden ones, there are two sizes and the larger ones are the best.

I just bought a new package of the older style (the tension kind, not the clip kind) at the hardware store. I used to draw little faces on top when I was a little girl. LOVE those pins!

I bought some vintage ones at a flea market and I also got a basket full out of a house that my parents had bought. The newer ones just stink! Sorry! The springs always slip off and they are very flimsy. These old ones are almost dangerous, lol. BUT, for my parrots, I buy the cheapo ones @ a dollar store because they tear them up (I use them to hold greens on the bars of their cages)

I bought my last ones at Wal-Mart. They are not the same as my "old" ones, either. Not nearly as sturdy or well made ... I think Lehman's is probably a good place to order them.

Bought my last bag full at K-mart in the housewares department. They were with the ironing boards and that type of stuff.
