I'm in spring cleaning mode and want to wax my hardwood floors. However, when I went shopping Saturday I could not find a single wax for hardwood floors. Perhaps that is a good thing, because I would prefer to use something natural if possible. Does anybody have any ideas?

Hi Judy,
There's a wonderful book..."A Well-Kept Home" by Laura Fronty & Yves Duronsoy
and their wooden floor wax recipe is as follows:

10 oz bees wax
10 fl oz turpentine

1. Coarsely grate the wax into a container that has a lid.

2. Dissolve the grated wax in the turpentine. This method takes longer but is less dangerous than using a bain-marie to heat the turpentine.

3. Stir the mixture frequently. If the result is not smooth enough, secure the lid on the container and dip in a large bowl of very hot water.

They don't give instructions for application...but if you have good results, please post!

Say to them, may the Lord bless you and protect you, May the Lord smile upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you His favor and give you His peace. (Numbers 6:23-26)
