Posted - Mar 23 2010 : 12:42:20 PM I am trying to do away with all the store bought chemicals and cleaning products in my house. I make my own laundry detg. and thanks to MJ's latest mag I now make the vinegar mix, but I need a recipe for furniture polish. So Im all ears if you can share one or have any other cleaning recipe to share I'd love to have them. Thanks Karen

Posted - Mar 24 2010 : 07:52:20 AM Here's one posted in another part of this forum: Dusting spray
1 cup distilled water 2-3 drops Essential oil (of choice)
Put into spray bottle. Spray onto cotton cloth and dust away!
Here's one posted on Dave Ramsey's frugal forum: Homemade Dust and Furniture Polish
Mix in a sprayer bottle:
1 cup olive oil 1/2 cup lemon juice
Shake well and apply a small amount to a flannel cleaning rag or cleaning cloth. Spread evenly over furniture surface. Turn cloth to a dry side and polish dry.
Obviously the olive oil one will leave a film for polishing. I like the distilled water one for dusting where no residue is required.
Smiles! Carla
