Yup the pets are shedding, going to have to vacuum twice a day to keep up with it - I realized this when I was rinsing the conditioner out of my hair and looked at my hands and there were two cat hairs on them - after washing my hair and myself. Bleah - who would think they had so much fur?

My mini schnauzer doesn't shed but my boxer does. The Zoom Groom brushes are super cheap and work great! You can get them at most pet shops or they can order them for you, or you can order them online.

I always thought I could knit a sweater every month from the amount Annabelle sheds:)

I always have my pets hair on me. Sometimes my sweetie (husband) takes the long cat her off my shirts, and I slap his hand and tell hime to leave them there. LOL. I had to vaccum today, which is the worse thing in the world- I hate it, anyway- when my cats hear that vaccum they run and hide for hours. So, not to upset my dears too much, I don't vaccum too much! Everyone is happy.

That is so funny Amy and Amy Grace! I swear when I empty the vacuum cup I need to check that it is just fur and not one of the cats I vacuumed up - there's so much hair there! LOL

Oh that's funny, I have just gotten used to wearing pet hairs but still, sometimes I'm going for a more sophisticated look:)

I vacuum every day :) A couple of years ago I broke my foot and had to wear a splint sandal (in the summer). When I saw the podiatrist I noticed dog hairs on it. I was so embarassed. He laughed and said, "Well in our home, dog hairs are a condiment." He had a Golden Retriever :)

Insulation, right, it's keeping us warmer.....
I never thought a Bassett would shed so much, short haired dog and all, who knew.
We had my folks for dinner Thursday and my husband vacuumed thoroughly, including the dog ( she just stood there stoically), two minutes after he finished she shook, and he had to start all over:)

LOL Amy!! I like that one, I'll have to tell the husband the dogs are insulating the house!!! :)
My two golden retrievers shed at different times. My girl- Bonnie is shedding now because she is getting ready to into heat. As soon as temps get over 50 it will be Bear's turn, who has really thick fur. It's never ending around here, but I agree that spring is the worst!
We still have a good snow cover here, as soon as the mud season begins it will be outdoor baths, towels and the kitchen floor for them for awhile.

I think the animal hair is charming, and effective. It a) its an extra layer to help keep the house insulated and b) keeps out the relatives who think animals are useless and "stupid". You gotta love animal hair.

We were just noticing that here, especially today now that it finally hit 50, MUD is everywhere. The dogs were a mess when they came in from playing! So...mop, mop, mop away!!

My dog isn't shedding too bad yet, but wait just a little longer and I'm going to be taking little hairs of hers wherever I go. Once she starts to shed, I'll have to start sweeping with the electric broom everyday to keep up.

I have wood floors and a grey cat that stays inside. So all along the baseboards there is usually a layer of grey cat hairs. Plus all the Bubba dog hair, too. I feel like I am constantly swiffering and vacuuming. But sometimes I get lazy and wait a while. I should probably save it and make yarn.
