DD made a candle in a jelly jar that I would like to reuse. Can I safely melt it by setting it in a pan of water on the stove or should I do it some other way?

When my candles get burned down to practically nothing and I want the jars for something else, I just set them on my mug warmer(u know...keeps your coffee-tea-cocoa warm while u read) and turn it on and in about 5 minutes *Presto* it's all melted. So I dump it in another candle or throw it out if it's just a tiny bit...or just too nasty to keep. Then I wipe it out, wash it up and it's ready for it's next use. You could probably use a potpourri pot too.

yes you can melt it on the stove- just don't let it boil or the jiggling can break your glass. Putting it in the freezer works as long as the jar has straight sides and no indent at the mouth area.
