Posted - Oct 22 2009 : 09:59:29 AM Those email inboxes and your favorites list.
I removed over 500 emails this morning, reading each one and writing down important information. I also downsized my favorites BIG time. I had over...ahem...2000 favorite websites...seriously...how is that simple???
I consider this mental clutter and now I can breathe just a little bit easier. Also, I can find things faster.
Who's in???
P.S. Thanks Lisa for the inspiration!!! ![](icons/icon_smile.gif)

Posted - Oct 28 2009 : 04:10:34 AM Oh goodness I need to do this. My husband is amazed when I open my email and its somewhere in the 900s, I just like keeping a record that I can go back to, there are 5 year old emails in the bottom of that one, lol. Good place to start!

Posted - Oct 27 2009 : 03:59:58 AM I just cleaned out my gmail account. Which has been a thorn in my side! Hold onto your hats! 10,000+ emails! Uggh! With a few clicks - they're all gone. Hooray! Now onto my personal email.....

Posted - Oct 23 2009 : 6:06:53 PM Ooh, Heather...I don't know if I can join you in that one. The e-mail is no problem, I keep it very cleaned-out usually. The favorites tho??? Now you are worrying my comfort zone. I 'cleaned' it out a few months ago and have wasted more time going back to fav's looking for a link to something I just knew was there only to pretty much realize that I'd just deleted it.
What I do instead is have lots and lots of sub-files so it looks clean but can still go to where it seems most logical to retrieve later. Does that count?
Just curious, how did you know you had over 2000 favorites saved? Now I am curious to find out how many I have squirrelled away but don't have a clue how you trace it.

Posted - Oct 22 2009 : 2:49:02 PM I'm in! I don't even know how I ended up with so much "junk" mail! Out of the 256 that I have in my in-box right now, only about 30 are from friends, relatives and companies that I do business with! I even received a "product warranty reminder" for something that I've never owned! Sheesh! It is sure time-consuming though to "unsubscribe" to everything. (I shouldn't have to unsubscribe to something that I never subscribed to, to begin with!)
As far as favorites go, I think my teenaged children may have had something to do with this list! I may have to lock up the office to get any "peace"!
