I know this type of receipe has been on here before, but I just recently found this new one. I've tried others in the past and my dishes came out with a white film on them, even using vingar in the rinse dispencer. This one worked great for me with NO residue left on anything. Here is the receipe:

Eco-Friendly and CHEAP dishwashing detergent

1 Cup Washing soda ( Not baking soda)
1 Cup Borax
1/2 Cup salt
1/2 Cup Citric acid ( I found this at our local grocery store with the canning suplies) You can also use 2 pkt of lemon kool-aid. This has the same amount of citric acid and the receipe calls for.

Hope ya'll try this and I hope it works for ya!
