I have been doing laundry all day today, it feel like! I have some clothes line strung out in a zig zag pattern in our upstairs-attic-converted-to-office space. The ceiling is one long dormer so I only have about 4 feet per zig (or zag?) but it works out nicely. We don't have air conditioning so I have put a fan right in front of the laundry and as it dries I get basically a cheap person's swamp cooler effect while I am at the computer. Their are windows at both ends of the room that are open letting in fresh air so it isn't getting humid and yucky. I think it is working great! I just wish I could do more laundry at once.

So I did have to resort to using my dryer downstairs a bit too. I need some outside lines because in this heat it would take a load of towels about 5 minutes to dry!

Come winter the line will have to come down so I can do my homework in there, but I can detach my dryer and have the hot air from it heat the house when I run the dryer, so that is good!

Great idea to use your attic space ... too funny too :) You are right you need an outside clothes line but just think come winter you can still be using your attic line to dry your clothes !!

Hi Marly! Well I am technically in Montana- about 60 miles from the Montana/Wyoming border...but yes it has been very hot. Yesterday we got a cloudburst/gully washer/ flash flood rain storm. It was amazing! I felt like I was standing under one of those bucket drencher things they have at water parks- only constant!

Is it hot over there is Wyomning? It was 100 degrees in Louisiana today. I would never get in my attic to hang clothes, I'd smother to death! LOL
I'd be putting the outside lines tomorrow. LOL
