I can't remember which farmgirl told us about using Borax to wash walls with, but I want to say THANK YOU! It worked great! I washed nearly all the walls in my house and they all look freshly painted! I just added a bit of Borax to very warm water and washed away. My house looks almost new again! Just a few more rooms left to do and it will all look new!

Does anyone else get the mineral spots on the bathroom ceiling? NO matter if we have the fan runing and the window open we get condensation on the ceiling above the shower. I have found that a small amout of laundry soap takes it off. But at 4'10" reaching the ceiling was the killer so one day I put the wash rag on the swiffer and now thats how I do it. use the same methed for the walls and windows.

I haven't tried it on crayons. I think I will. I have a hidden crayon "masterpiece" that someone drew eons ago during a bday party here. (the closet door keeps it hidden if I leave it open).

Will Borax take crayon off of white painted walls? I have a preschooler that thought he'd mural his bedroom wall...

Deb, Thanks again for letting us know how great Borax works on painted walls. Today it is bright and sunny, my walls look freshly painted! I'm so happy, it feels like we remodeled!

I'm glad I saw this post. We're in the process of moving (and guess what have to wash walls). I'm going to pick up a box. Thanks!

I'm so glad it worked for you! After I had that run in with the "magic" eraser I've never gone back. I have to give credit to the sweet lady in line at the store who gave me helpful hint - whoever she may be.....
