Any advice on how to really clean 3 wood kitchen tables that are in good shape but are very old.....weathered very well. I would really like to keep them but I really want them super super clean and nice looking.

These tables are in India and they are what the cook uses to chop the food, and basically work on.

I was thinking of covering them with a slab of marble or granite----something but that would be too heavy.
Any ideas greatly appreciated---it gets very very dusty over there, so I can't paint them white.

Ideas, please.

Beverly- the easiest way to load pictures is to upload them to www.photobucket.com that gives each photo it's own url. Then here on the forum you type in http://ww w.your photo url here. com except without the spaces I put in. I put in the spaces so you could see the words to use, otherwise it would try to pull in a picture and you would only see a box. I hope that helps!

What about just leaving them wood and treating them with mineral oil?
