Hello Ladies

Iam looking for a good source for really strong clothes pins not the cheap ones that break with the slightest breeze..I love to hang out my clothes as much as possible , but cant keep the clothes pins from breaking. Any ideas or suggestions where I can find some.

Ditto on Lehman's for clothespins. Also, Vermont Country Store has some good ones.

The plastic ones get brittle real fast and just crumble, I get mine from the "Lehmans online catalog", they last several years.
Oney, they also carry the slotted clothes pins

I prefer the slotted pins as opposed to the spring pins. They are hard to find. Have you run across any slotted pins with the round heads?

I found some really good wooden ones at my little Foodland grocery store, right here in Brechin! They are hardwood, 3.5", with a really good spring, and are $2.99 for a package of 35.

I used them yesterday on a load of towels, and it was extremely windy, one of those "wrap around the clothesline" days, and nothing pulled off the line!

..that's what I do! give them a good squeeze and a good twist to see if they come apart...if the plastic wrap is too tight..don't take a chance but keep looking.
Has anyone seen the extra big plastic ones I saw in Walmart..they look great!

So I was in the Home Hardware yesterday, and went to look at the clothespins--of course, the really good wooden ones I bought last year are all gone! Isn't that always the way, just when you find what you like, you can't find it anymore!

They had some new bamboo ones, and plastic ones, all claiming to be strong. It's hard to tell in the package, though. I try to squeeze them through the plastic, but they're so tightly wrapped, there isn't much room!

I saw some extra big plastic ones in Walmart yesterday. The looked strong and I liked the big size.... I always try to twist the pins in the bags at the store to see if they come apart easy. I have bought the Martha Stewart pins at K mart before and they are good ones too. I think I like them the best.....Martha Stewart at K mart....

I've had really good luck with a large 50-pack that I purchased from Walgreens. They are probably cheap and imported, but whenever one half of the wood pin slides off the metal clip, I've been able to slide it back in.

Hi Lisa,

I had this problem last year, and found some really good ones at Home Hardware. If you can't find them in your store, I'd be happy to check my store and see if they still have some left.

Hey Lisa, thanks for asking the question about the clothespins, I also have the same
problem since we hang most of our clothes to dry. Thanks Jessie for letting us know
about the ones at Ace will have to check those out. Toni

You might could try an Ace Hardware store. I've gotten them from there before and they held up great! :D
