Hi Farmgirls! I want to pass along this tip that saves drying time either on the line or in the dryer. Run your laundry load through the spin cycle twice. You'd be surprised how much water you'll get out the second time. This is especially good when you use the dryer because you'll save energy. The dryer costs more to run than the washer.

On washday,
Patricia

Happy Wishes!

Catherine, you might remind your friend that that nasty e-coli bacteria can be in the washer and she could be power spinning it into her salad!

Good idea. Tomorrow is wash day...I'll be putting the tip into practice!!

I haven't done this, but a friend puts her lettuce in a lingerie net bag and runs it in the spin cycle for drying the lettuce after she has washed it in the sink.

Blessings
Catherine

One of the best compliments from one of my daughters: "Moma, you smell good...like dirt."
