I needed to clean the laundry room so we can build phase 2 of our chick housing till they go outside. Just a matter of getting my son's laundry upstairs and some stuff into the trunk to take to the Goodwill....
So I go to the trunk of my car to put the stuff for Goodwill in and it's full of the two 50 pound bags of flour I bought this weekend and forgot about. In order to put those away I have to clean out the pantry so I can fit another plastic tote for the flour under the pantry shelves. That means finding a new home for my canning kettles, which in turn means cleaning out the shelves over the basement stairs. Then I have to clean out another plastic tote for the aforementioned flour, which means another box to the Goodwill pile. Then I take a close look at the pantry floor, guess that needs scrubbing. In the middle of all this my son comes down (home sick today) and asks if I am going to clean the mudroom too - nope don't think so, starting to get depressed about the mountain of stuff that is now in my kitchen on what was the freshly scrubbed kitchen floor. Another day for the mudroom perhaps....
Anyway, now the laundry room is clean and ready for chick housing except for the cast-iron woodstove that we need to move somewhere, anywhere, but I can't lift it.
I think I'm done for the day:D

That often happens to me, too.
Problem is, by the time I get back to the original task, I've forgotten what it was that I was doing.

Exactly how it is here, too. One thing leads to another. I keep my chickies in my laundry, too. I've had them in a tote but noticed their little feet getting crusted with poop. So I had to go get a cage and redo it so I could put them in it. So that one thing lead to all kinds of other things. That's just life. It all runs together.

At least you got rid of alot of stuff. Good for you. Not go have a cuppa tea and relax a little til the next project pops up!

i think its time to put your feet up hun. i hate when one project leads to another and another. though i don't think i've had it so bad. either that or i just dont deal with it right way. (my storage unit is needing its cleaning before i can do anything)
