Does anyone have a recipe for homemade dishwasher detergent. Don't always have time to wash by hand (wish I could say I did) and would rather not flood my septic system with all the chemicals that are in commercial dishwashing detergent. Any ideas??

I am anxious to know if it works well too. I do add white vinegar as a rinse aid now..with the regular store bought cascade stuff...would prefer to make my own though!

Jenn,
I haven't tried this recipe yet, but I intend to.
It is 2 parts Borax to one part baking soda.
Also, use vinegar as the rinse aid.
Hope this works. Ivy
