I posted a blog post with some tips from my time as a professional housekeeper. I used to clean houses for a living and probably would be doing that here in Billings except I don't want to put Nora in Daycare.

Anyway- let me know if you find those tips useful. I am trying to get back to my promise on my blog to offer helpful hints on many things.

Lori,
I would suggest using some adhesive remover as well. Makes the job much easier. All we have around here is cement floors and we have gotten pretty good at getting things off from them such as tile,
carpet stuff, etc.

Hi Lori,
Alee is right we got one of those long handled scrapers and it made the JOB so much eaiser, we then laid tile and it looks awesome.

Lori- Go get a scraper from a hardware store- it looks like a flattened hoe on a long handle. I think sometimes they have blades that go in them. Then it is a lot of elbow grease and muscle. That's the only way I know to get those things off.

Great ideas! I have my daughters high school graduation in June- I have a big job to get the house cleaned and ready for the big celebration- construction too!!
Any ideas to remove carpet pad that has been glued to a concrete floor???
I'll take any tips, well wishes and prayers to get me ready for the big day!! :o)

Alee, those are good ideas. It makes cleaning much more organized which in turn gets you done faster so you can get online with the farmgirls!! Jim came over the other day and I showed him my newly organized "junk" drawer in the kitchen. His comment was "that's the sign of a sick mind"! Well, next time it takes him a half an hour to find a pencil in his junk drawer in his kitchen, I'll show him how I can find one in mine in 2 seconds!
