I love things organized. I really do. I think it is so fun to have everything all in it's own little place.

But I am really bad about KEEPING things organized.

I haven't been able to use my sewing room/office for about 2 months now because it has been completely over run with stuff and evidence of Nora running rampant in there.

Today I got everything out of the main walk way, got the random garbage thrown away (junk mail etc) and the floor vacuumed. It really needed it since I have lots of plants that have been dropping leaves! It looks so much better, and even though there is still lots of things that I need to do, it is on the way to being rehabilitated!

Have you been struggling with organization lately? Or have you organized something and want to brag about it? Let me know! I think your stories will inspire me!

LOL! I am glad I am not the only farmgirl like this! Have any of your seen those quotes that say something like "Don't organize my desk for me... I won't be able to find anything?"

Alee, this is like a weird deja vu - whatever that word is kind of thing! I fell asleep last night wondering if I was soooo "organized" that I was "dis-organized"...does that make any sense??? All my little ducks are in a row but then one takes a nose dive and everything gets thrown off!!! I like everything in its place but no one else in the house seems to like to keep it there! Maybe instead of "dis-organized" I'm just disfunctional when the kids are running the house! I'm thinking tomorrow I might just install a few velcro walls of my very own and start sewing up their suits!

Oh - I am laughing about the cracker-coated bed.
There are things I miss about little kids, cracker crumbs are not one of them. But then you end up with teenagers

Sometimes the thought of a velcro-wall with kid sized suits has flashed in my mind as well!!! I bet we both have some great pictures of our tornados, that's for sure!

Hi Kate-

That's it exactly! You aren't quite sure if you should laugh, scold, or grab the camera! LOL

LOL! It is interesting how they know exactly what to do to both exasperate and elate you at the same time. Yestreday mine got a hold of a package of crackers and decided to cracker coat my freshly laundered and made bed lika a meat loaf or something! GRR!

Today is a nice quiet day though, because we had them out with us while we were drilling post holes for our new round pen, so between all the fresh air and stacking sticks on the bonfire that we built for them, they are in sleepy land right now! Hope you are having a great and organized day

I know what you mean about the toddlers! I loved over today and Nora had pulled down all of her cloth diapers, all of her bed sheets and was laying on top of the 3 drawer unit that they had been folded and stacked on top of. It is in a little alcove so it was a little hidey hole for her. It was cute and funny at the same time it was aggravating!! LOL

One room one day at a time.. Keeps me organized, I try really hard to maintain after that.. I know I am slack sometimes but I was taught by my mother to have a clean clear workspace before I start any project, cooking or crafting.. Really helps when you clean up after immediately too.. * hubby also helps keep us organized , this too is a great help!

LOL! you two are awesome! I am terrible about keeping things organized too Alee, and my tornado toddlers Isabel and Ian don't help matters any, they can make an orderly room scream in terror.

Yesterday my husband and I sorted through all the kids toys in the toy/craft room. Some of them went into the give away pile, and then some we put in a box to bring out a few months from now, it will be like getting new toys for those two. My biggest organizing problem is getting the donate stuff to the donate place, it stacks up in my storage shed.

I'm with you two when it comes to needing inspiration!

I am really struggling with organization. My main focus right now is the girls play room in the basement. They have way too many toys. We're going to declutter that room and make it a playroom/craft room.

I do believe I have craft supplies in every room of the house. I've been looking for inspiration online and in magazines to find something I like (as far as a system) I have a hubby is willing and able to build me something. I just have to provide a picture.

http://www.hgtv.com/ah-organizing-storage/organized-craft-room-ideas/index.html I just get a warm fuzzy feeling when I look at pictures like that! Thinking about how we could have all our craft supplies in 1 neat area (keeping it that way - that's a whole 'nother story) Then I would also have it out of the other areas of the house.

I need to stop saving and start tossing! I've been trying to keep a big (black so I can't see what's inside) garbage back to toss clothes & things in. I'm just waiting for the first donation place to call me and they get it.

I need help and inspiration.
