My faucet in my shower broke and the hot water had to be shut off. So with no hot water I am boiling water on the stove just so I can get my chores done! I am actually having fun with it! LOL

Sometimes I think it's a good thing to go back to the "old fashioned way" even if its just for a bit!

I few years back we were remodeling a kitchen one summer. The kids got to help take down the built in cabinets and such. We set up a temporary kitchen outside. We had to fill up a basin from the tub and heat it up on our camping stove. It was work to wash but it really was fun after you look back and remember the family time we spent. I know that Nora really can't help but what a thing to tell her later.

I have gallons of water around the house. Yes, being without is not good. right after I bought my house, like day 2, I had rinsed some stuff in the sink, turned to do something came right back and no water! they city had to shut it off for a few hours to fix a leak in the street around th corner, but oh my!

Our well went out the weekend before last. I keep water in the basement for such emergencies. We hauled it up, heated water for baths, etc. I would rather go without elec than water.
