I just had a brainstorm while folding laundry - and turning my teenage son's socks the right way out. Though I've talked to him about doing this when he takes them off, he seems to forget.
New way of operating since listening to "Love and Logic for Teens" - If the socks are right way out, they will be folded together correctly.
If they are wrong way out...they just get put in the drawer, as is, for him to turn them the correct way prior to wearing. (If he even notices).
What do you think?

had the same problem here and I stopped turning them right side out, same goes for anything that is inside out t-shirts, underwear, pants! Kids are grown and on their own now but I still do it to DH when he leaves things wrong side out.

LOL..reminds me of the delima I had when faced with a basket of socks to match and fold. (for four of us) So what did I do? I quit doing it. Period. Yep..wanna know how??
I purchased ALL THE SAME SOCKS..the daughter had one type..all white..the son had another type..all white, I had one type, and the hubby had one type. I no longer folded socks, or matched or turned. I simply had a sock drawer for each of them. All their socks went in the drawer, singly. All they had to do was pull out two. Didn't matter, they all matched. If one got a hole, I tossed it or used it as a dusting cloth..(slips right over the hand, very handy), either way, they still only had to pull out two. Made life much easier and the sock folding non existent.

LOL!!! There for a while I kept noticing that I would have a huge pile of unmatched socks for my girls. I'd search, recheck, scratch my head, the whole nine yards. Until one day, a friend of theirs took off her shoes coming into the house. Her socks were unmatched, so I said something. Got this reply.."Oh Mom, that's how we do it now." "Oh forgive me, I'll just crawl back into that cave!"

ROFL Oh Ann, this was something my poor mum tried to get me to do until the day I moved out. She tried everything, and finally just started washing and folding 'as is'. I have to say, from my point of view back then, it was nice when she quit mentioning it, and I was tomboy enough that I rarely noticed if they were inside out or not. I think you're doing fine, and hey, if your son notices they're inside out, perhaps he'll start taking the initiative and doing it himself.
