Does anyone have an organic or homebrewed solution for cleaning pots that have had something burn up in them? I walked away from a pot of beef stew and it burned up. I have tried scrubbing and running the dishwasher but it still isn't coming up (the burnt stew that is)

try vinegar and salt. and keep adding salt to use as an abrasive. A stailess steel scrubber helps too.

I dont know how organic this is, but it helps you get more use out of something before you toss it.

Stick a used dryer sheet in the crusty pan and fill it with water, leave it overnight and then use the dryer sheet to scrub out the pan and it usually does the trick.

you can be oh so smart, or you can be oh so positive. I wasted a lot of time being smart I prefer being positive.

I've used the vinegar thing too and it works great. It takes so much of the labor out of cleaning a burned pot. I just put it in full strength, put the lid back on and let it sit overnight.

I think if you simmer it with white vinegar in it, that is supposed to help...Am I correct Farm Girls?
