Posted - Apr 11 2008 : 12:14:40 PM Well I am back to my list today! I took a couple of days off because I was wiped out with my monthly cycle. I am feeling much more peppy today and plan on rolling up my sleeves, tying and apron on and watching the fur bunnies fly. That's what we have in my house- We don't have dust bunnies...the fur bunnies ate them all....

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 7:23:24 PM Thanks for the suggestion Molly!
Oh- I would but I actually rather hate the feeling of rubber gloves- or "Marigolds" as they call them in England. They always seem to get water or maybe even just sweat in them, no matter how long they are or or how hard you try to keep them dry. I am just putting some of Nora's (my) baby balm on my hands a few times a day and that heals them nicely! :D

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 6:58:08 PM Get yourself some Stepford rubber gloves, Alee! Save your poor hands; after you finish this list, there will be nothing left of them! :)

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 6:51:58 PM LOL! I would love to come and visit but I think my hands need a rest. My fingerprints are starting to fray a bit from being so long immersed in hot soapy water! But my kitchen is looking pretty spiffy!

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 5:56:40 PM My big problem is clutter. Also we use a woodburnig stove, so I feel like everything has dust on it. Plus 5 dogs that are in the house. I do really well with laundry & dishes, but I HATE dusting & sweeping, esp with all the wood dust everywhere. Do you want to fly Delta or American??? Nora can play with the dogs & goats |

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 3:44:56 PM Lisa- Believe it or not, without a baby I actually could get it all done in a day or maybe a day and a half! I used to clean professionally so I got a lot of things down to a science. There is a lot of wasted motion in cleaning unless you really focus on just touching things once and getting it done. It also helps to have a mountain of cleaning rags 2-3 large storage totes worth so you aren't waiting on a load of wash to process just for cleaning rags. The best deal on rags is the 18 wash clothes for $5 at Wal-Mart.

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 2:45:50 PM Alee When I saw your list & your plans to get done in one day, I was ready to go out & buy you a Superwoman cape, & a plane ticket to OH so you could do my house. I need to do all that stuff too! |

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 2:35:21 PM Phew! Went grocery shopping today and now my cupboards are even more full, but I certainly have even more incentive now to finish up the kitchen. I want to get it organized so when I am feeling tired I can see the quick prep I items that I have instead of reaching to dial for pizza delivery! :D

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 07:23:03 AM Lisa- It snowed again on Saturday! Ugh. Still not warm playing weather for Nora.
Molly- MaryJane recommends olive oil and lemon juice mixed for a quick furniture polish in her Ideabook. I like a nice rich paste to rub into my furniture so I use olive oil and beeswax. You can add essential oil if you like.

Posted - Apr 07 2008 : 03:02:17 AM You know, by the time spring comes, I feel like I've been cleaning all winter! So MY idea of spring cleaning is cleaning anything OUTSIDE. Actually, it's like pulling teeth to get me back inside the house before snow flies again!

Posted - Apr 06 2008 : 10:16:15 PM Ok, So I gotta know-- what do you use for furniture polish? I have been wanting to do my own, but wasn't sure what to start with.
Congrats on getting *anything* done. I still didn't make my list....'I don't want to think about that now. I'll think about that tomorrow!' (Gone with the Wind).

I made banana bread and had to do the dishes again after making dinner for Nora and the bread.
I hope you all had a wonderful Spring day!

Posted - Apr 06 2008 : 7:18:24 PM Hmm- It doesn't look like I have gotten much done, but I have been doing tons of dishes and cleaning. Somehow the dishes seem to pile up quickly. I know that both DH and I are culprits, but I think he is worse than me :D
I also made a lot of furniture polish so I can do all of my dusting and polishing around the house! I think I am making lots of progress, especially since Nora is awake.
Oh and I am getting caught up on laundry as well! :D Yay!
