I don't use homemade but Method brand (can get it at Target) has the most wonderful spray. It smells like almonds and it's all natural.

I think you might be suprised. There is usually at least one bee keeper in an area. The farmers need bees for pollination. You just have to search them out.

Here is a web address of honey suppliers in PA. http://www.honeylocator.com/location_results.asp?Location_ID=39

Oh I also forgot to mention that I was told that lavender essential oil is antibacterial and antimicrobial. It is also soothing to the senses and to the skin. I really think that is why Nora, at 8 months has had so few diaper rashes.

You can buy vitamin E oil in any grocery store or pharmacy. Usually it hangs out with the vitamins. I by my beeswax from local bee-keepers. Usually they are happy to sell it. Some natural food stores carry little blocks of it as well, but you will pay an arm and a leg more for it that way.

Alee,
Sounds like a great recipe. Where do you find beeswax & Vitamin E oil?

Denise-

I mix beeswax, and a combination of vitamin E oil, and veg oil (olive or whatever you want). The Vitamin E oil helps act as a preservative. Just keep mixing in veg oil until it is a spreadable paste. As it warms up as you buff it in, it seeps into the pores of the wood and helps feed the wood as well as seals it away from dirt. I also put in a few drops of my favorite essential oil or fragrance oil to make all the furniture smell wonderful!

Alee,
What do you mix the beeswax with for polishing?

For non porous wood surfaces and non wood surfaces I just use vinegar and water and wipe it up immediatly. For porous wood surfaces I make my own beeswax furniture polish.
