I know it is silly- but I hate washing floors.

What part of your house is your least favorite to get down and dirty with?

I don't like any of it either but my least favorite would be the floors. I don't mind to sweep or vacuum, but I don't like mopping. For some reason it hurts my back. I'm lucky that my husband doesn't mind doing it.

Washing windows or the outside of the house. In LA everything gets this green algae that sticks like glue & it's an all day project to pressure wash the house or clean windows. Am I only limited to one chore I dislike???? :) I dislike immensely the chores of vacuuming and dusting, cleaning the tub, and cleaning knick-knacks in the kitchen because we don't have a vent for the stove and everything gets a greasy coat of dust and goo.

I hate de-cluttering. I have a daycare, so not only am I home all day, but the kids have toys everywhere and my husband is in and out all day.

I hate that I have to spend an hour putting things where they belong just to start the actual cleaning!

I would have to say my least favorite cleaning job is the bathroom and unfortunately I have 4 of them. I do all of them in one cleaning session so that I can say "not again for another week". They take forever!

LOL- Jessie! I only like to wash the dishes when there are only a few and it is a bright sunny but cold day out! I don't know what it is about seeing bright cold sunshine but having my hands in hot water, but I can actually enjoy the dishes (if they aren't too grody!) then!

I HATE THE DISHWASHER!! Even though my kids usually do it, I get stuck enough to despise it. I hate cleaning off the kitchen table too since it is hardly ever my stuff and I don't know where to put all the mail, husband's work papers, etc. It makes me nuts, but I love a clean kitchen.

Hey I am already look forward to when Nora can actually help around the house! I started doing chores when I was 5. It was my job to feed the dog and cats every day. At my house growing up, we rotated chores every week. So one person did bathrooms, one person did the dishes, one person had vacuuming, one person had garbage, one person had dusting, and one person had laundry. (I think that was the break down). It really helped alot. As much as you might hate a chore- you always knew you only had to do it for a week! :D

Jana, if I were you, I'd just stop cleaning his bathroom (unless it really bothers YOU). If he said he'd keep it clean, he should keep it clean or deal with it being a mess...

I HATE DISHES AND FLOORS!!!!
The two things that never STAY DONE! We have Pergo-like floors and I detest them. They are always streaky and show every footprint (although maybe that's the layer of dust LOL) and seem to be instantly dirty after being swept, dust-mopped, and wet-mopped...I've even tried vacuuming and I can still never get all the dust removed before I mop... I just figure what's the point in putting in all that work on something when it will be moments before it looks as if you haven't done it for weeks.
Dishes are just plain boring and the only time I 'like' to do them is when I'm really MAD. They also never stay done for very long. I do have to admit that I like having them DONE before bed, so I don't have to look at them in the morning when I'm grumpy...but I don't like to DO them. I'm thankful for my children growing older. ; }
Am I horrible for having given this chore over to my 11 yo DS (the little ones help, too)? At least they're done more frequently now!

I hate cleaning the bathroom! Soon I will have 2 to clean when hubby gets done the one in the basement. Ughhh, I like the fact of two bathrooms, but hate the thought of cleaning both! Yuck.

i'm jumpin' in with the girls that don't LOVE cleaning floors. we have all wood floors (painted .. yellow and pumpkin and white in different rooms) ... TWO olde english sheepdogs that bring in a LOT of dirt (and dog hair)! it's the deep-down cleaning (in the corners ... and i have SO many treasures ON the floor .. little dust catchers ... yep! i think floor-washin' would be my least fav!

I absolutely can't stand to vaccum. I don't really "like" to do any of it to be honest. I would much rather be sewing, painting or outside with the goats.

Of course if you don't want a visit from bears then you still have to clean up outside :)

I really can't stand cleaning out the shower stall. There's no easy way to do it without getting wet at some point. And no matter what I do, the walls are always streaky.

My husband's bathroom. He really wanted his own space when our 2 daughters were at home, so we agreed that he could build one in the basement. Its not finished, the shower is already falling apart and there is no ceiling. And of course, he promised to finish it and to keep it clean...10 years ago! I go in there every once in a while and tackle it. Its an embarassment to me and I always refer to it as the "man bathroom". YUK!

I detest washing the floor! It doesn't get done unless my husband does it! True story. I promise you will never see my mopping the floor!

I guess my least favorite place to clean would be the kitchen floor. Sweeping isn't bad, but it has linoleum tile with little, bitty nicks and crevices that "loooooooove" to collect the dirt. In order to get it really clean, I have to do the "Cinderella" treatment--hands and knees with a scrub brush! I feel great when I am done, but don't like thinking about starting!

My least favorite place to clean is the kitchen. Which is really a bad situation because I love to cook and am a "messy" cook, so I always have more work for myself after a meal....it is so frustrating...really though, I think the real reason I dislike the kitchen cleaning is because I have been doing dishes since I was very little, I think 5. My Mom made me stand on a chair and do dishes...back then we didn't have a dishwasher, so everything was done by hand. The rule was everyother night I would do dishes, and my brother would do my off night. But, somehow, he would leave to go fishing at the river when it was his night to do dishes and I ended up doing them at my Mother's insistence....I think that is why I dislike kitchen work. Although, I do love a sparkling, clean kitchen...just hate doing the work to get there. Oh well...a woman's work is never done!! My Mom used to say that to me all the time...Erica:)

Floors!! I don't mind cleaning the bathroom -- love scrubbing the tubs and sinks, polishing chrome until it shines but the floor is my least favorite. Especially the kitchen floor! In fact, the older I get the more I dislike housework. I do it because I can't stand a dirty house but it's just a tiring job. You do it and then a few days later you have to do it again! I'd much rather be crafting or sewing!

Bathrooms...*definitely!*

Most specifically, I loathe cleaning the toilet. Three men in my house. And I let the one who had bad aim in the first place train the two little ones!! ~ K
