What do you ladies recommend for cleaning windows? I have just about looked out these dirty ones for about as long as I can.

ok, first of all, don't open the drapes & you won't notice the dirty windows...problem solved! LOL!
I hate doing windows, and won't do them so my DH does them 'cause he can't stand dirty windows....again, problem solved!
DH just fills a bucket w/ luke warm water and just a drop of dish soap, then wash & squeeges. They come out sparkling clean. and once agin, I didn't have to wash any windows! It's good to be a princess! lollollol!

I have to go along with the vinegar and water. Very good and cheap!

I'm with the vinegar and water thing too. Have gone all natural with my cleaning and laundry products.

Peace and love.

If you have been using windex and want to switch to an all natural cleaner, you first need to get the wax build up off. So I mix vinegar half and half with water and add a few drops my dishwashing soap. This cuts the grease and wax that commercial cleaners leave makes your windows ultra shiny. I use this all the time since I use the vinegar/water cleaner almost everywhere, so I like the extra soap to cut grease in the kitchen and such.

vinegar and newspaper on the inside. Windex actually has wax in it and is just altogether yucky, IMO.
On the outside I mix vinegar with Seventh Generation dish soap and use a squeegie.

Vinegar and newspaper. You can cut the vinegar 1/2 with water, but it makes a great, cheap cleaner. Judy

I use Windex,a squeegee & a lint free cloth to clean my windows. It sometimes takes two tries to get them crystal clear, depending on how much rain spots and dust are on them. I always clean the outside first, then the inside. It's washing my screens that I really hate! Those I take out and scrub with a brush & a pail of soapy water. I then rinse them off with the hose & let them dry in the sun. I take them out before I tackle the windows. This way they're totally dry when I finish washing windows. A job I'll be doing in the fall, which is right around the corner! Yikes!
