Any homemade mixtures for shining wood floors?

Thanks!

I don't know about any homemade cleaners, but I can tell you that Murphy Oil, mixed with a little bit of warm water does a great job on hardwood floors. I have oak hardwood, which is stained a dark walnut colour, and it shines very nicely.

I hand polished 1200 square foot of hardwood, already mildly sanded, but thick varnish removed, with a QUART of boiled linseed oil. It only cost 5 dollars from Walmart. It's slow and you must rub it in pretty good or it will gum up and get sticky, but for "unfinished flooring" it's an excellent preservative and ads good shine without that thick polyurethane coating...Also seems to soak into the pores of the wood and made for vaccuuming and sweeping easier.
Good luck

LOL I would suggest sanding it and then doing Tung oil or a very well rubbed beeswax Otherwise suggest mopping with an almost dry mop/rag and using just water, vinegar and a small amount of castille soap.

If you do use the beeswax be careful for the first couple of days as it will be a little more slick than normal but it feeds the wood amazingly well.

Hathaways Wood Floor Polish is my favorite. But I can't find it anywhere anymore.

Right now the finish is crappy! lol

It depends- what type of finish do you have and what is your favorite chemical product?
