Posted - May 12 2021 : 4:37:00 PM The International Council of Nurses (ICN) has celebrated this day since 1965. In January 1974, May 12th was chosen to celebrate the day as it is the anniversary of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. The theme for this year is 'Nursing the World to Health' as these healthcare workers have been at the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic.
I just wanted to give a shout out to my fellow nursing colleagues worldwide. You are appreciated and I hope that you can take a few minutes to put your feet up and think about the huge impact that you are making in the lives of your patients. Well done and keep up the great work!

Posted - Jul 31 2021 : 5:36:57 PM Sorry I missed this day, but we are certainly grateful for our nurses! We have four in our family between our two sides, well, make that three, one just got her MD! The time, patience and sacrifices you all put in is beyond words. Taking care of others, other peoples loved ones is such a beautiful gift. Being there with the patients who have no one, (or, sadly, no one that cares enough), holding their hands, sharing your time, heart and soul. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you do. Nurses are special souls, maybe even angels in disguise. xo
