I'm getting into quilting lately. Been sewing since I was four and have made several quilt squares, but have yet to complete a whole quilt. My mom is also a quilter (as were my grandmother and great grandmother - runs in the family, as it should). But I'd love to know about some quilting bees in my area!

Anyone know of any?

That would be fun. Some central location maybe - I'm in the mountains now, no longer Denver.

Thanks for the info - those are great!

I'm actually relocating to the Eagle Valley. I'm hoping they will have quilts at the county fair at the end of the summer so I can find out more then - but I also got some good leads from the sites you shared!

If your doing a mid CO farmgirl quilting bee maybe you'll invite a former Littleton/now in Cheyenne farmgirl. Amy, there's a big quilt guild in the Denver area if you're interested in a formal group. I think they have smaller group meetings also.

Not sure what part of the Denver area you're in but I learned to quilt at the Creative Needle down on South Broadway. Have bought all my machines through them too! Love that store and the people who work there!

Oh, hello again! Have you looked into parks and rec? I'm not sure where in Colorado you are but in the Denver area the rec centers are really wonderful. I take a pottery class every summer I'm back home just to be around my favorite teacher and so that I'm eligible to use studio time and kiln space. I don't know for sure that there is quilting but it seems the sort of thing they would have. I know other largish cities also have parks and rec.
