I was looking at the website www.mysterypartners.org or com. (can't remember) which is Susan Albert's website. She writes the China Bayles mystery series and the new Beatrix Potter "cozies". She is currently knitting clothing and afghans for people in Northern Afghanistan. There is apparently still a severe housing shortage, and people are living in tents in freezing weather. I read the other day that women are having to give birth in tents, and most of the babies are dying. Thought that some of you who knit etc might be interested in assisting. For more info go to www.afghansforafghans.org

Way Cool! Hubby is currently in Iraq and not Afghanistan but this would be a fun knitting project!
