Feeling rather helpless in the helping department regarding this tragedy... so I thought starting a prayer circle/ring among us would be something I could do to affect a positive outcome, or at least bring some relief of sorrow for those affected.

To those affected, may you know a peace at your center of being to continue on. May you be healthy despite unhealthful conditions, may you find comfort amongst remaining family and friends. May you rely on your Higher Power to guide you through. May you be surrounded by light and love. May you know millions of people are holding you high in their thoughts now and always, transcending any religious affiliations or beliefs. And so it is.

In light of todays 8.2 magnitude quake in Sumatra and the area struck by the Tsunami last year I reread Clare's inspiring prayer for the people affected today. Maybe we can join our hearts and send that region and people healing prayer once more...

Hi everyone,
My son sent me a link about the earthquakes of the past couple of weeks and another forum with more information and discussions. Thought you all might be interrested. I was not dreaming about the new Zealand Quake. Our news is just not reporting as well as we would expect.

One of the participants has posted a skyview map of all the recent activity. It is very informative.

Yes, let's all put the power of prayer to work for us. We are strong group, and we can make things happen.

I have also been on the prayer chain for this tragic earth historic event. My heart goes out to everyone affected.
My animals have been very unsettled for about two weeks and I feel that they have been feeling the tension in the earth before this happened.
I am wondering if anybody else has noticed this?
Also about a week before the event I could swear that I heard a news broadcast in the morning about an earthquake of 8 .0 on the rickter scale somewhere near new zealand but never heard any thing more about it and nobody I have talked to has heard this so I am wondering if I dreamed it. I kept watching the news all that week looking for more details until this one happened.
I love the beautiful prayers you have written and am adding mine to it.I am sending light, and healing and protection to all those affected. I am sending angels to cover all those who are going in to help with food and medical and cleanup. I am asking protection from disease for all those called in to aid in this enormous task.
I am crying out for mercy!! End the War and beat our weapons into plow shares and go in to clean up this mess.

Clare-
I got online just now with the exact same purpose you have just suggested...prayer for all those affected by this tragedy. I feel we need to do something, and prayer is the answer for those of us who are so far away and have not a lot of funds to send $.

Your prayer is beautiful, and I will repeat it often through the coming days. May God bring some kind of light and good from this terrible tragedy, and may those who are suffering find help soon. May all of the medical personnel available stave off disease and may the clean-up be quick and without further complications. My love to all who have been in the path of this terrible disaster.
