our little country town of greensburg, kentucky held it's annual 'holiday open house'yesterday. i've never seen such a spread of country yummies! and oh my, these southern women can cook!!!!!!
new friends, wilma and her partner, ann lee were there with their new booth .. overflowing with vintage textiles (i bought bunches of those!) and her 'signature' hand-did, feather-stuffed embroidered pillows .. and oh my .. the homespun doll dresses on twig hangers covered with coordinating homespun were so dear! (i've been hearing of wilma's talent for months from the girls of Glover's Station .. isn't it such a small world .. MaryJane wrote of Wilma and her creations in her book and one of her magazines .. then to learn that i moved to the very town of her birth!
everyone told tales and much laughter passed from friend to friend! we all promised to gather soon at the historical log cabin of another friend, susan. susan's cabin is filled with late 1700's and early-1800's furniture and accessories. what a delight to visit her home!
i am so blessed to have found all these kind and creative women in this little country county we moved to. xo, frannie |

Hi Frannie,
I'm drooling just thinking about it. You are so lucky. I can't wait to get back east for my annual fix next summer. My sister and I will go for tea and wander the antique shops, collectible shops and junk shops. I'll be in heaven again! I have somehow never been to Kentucky. I don't know how I've missed that state but it sounds wonderful. And it's so great that you connected with wonderful and creative women.
